Planning - Location Scouting

Location scouting

Neale's Yard

This location has been chosen for the bright, vibrant colours, which are reflective of the electric colour schemes seen in the 80s. These colours are a naturalistic reflection of the colours that have heavily inspired me in planning my music video. The 80s were full of colour, and to make the video colourful I need a backdrop with this variety within it, and this location is a fair reflection of what I aim to see in my video.

Carnaby Street

This location is famous not only for its vibrant neon lighting around Christmas time, but is also a location that has been through a lot of changes through the decades, with it being a key hotspot between the 50s and the 80s, and still is to this day. Carnaby street has become almost iconic, and is a location that has never aged, even through the decades. Therefore because this is an ageless and important location, it will play a key role in my music video.

Kingly Court

I chose this location as it is a rather edgy location that has grunge/ rock connotations to it, through the dark grey and blue colours. It looks like a modern yet vintage setting, therefore it would fit in well with my video. The main reason I have chosen this location is that it is near Carnaby Street, and will therefore have a wide variety of people that will go there, with it appealing to a wide range of people. This location has also been chosen for one of the activities that takes place in the music video, the characters getting something to eat for dinner, therefore this location fits in well with the theme of my video.
